Boston Seeds Content Management System

Boston Seeds is an independent seed merchant located near Boston, Lincolnshire. Previously, the company used a proprietary software to manage their online catalogue of products. After a series of problems with the software, it finally gave up the ghost and the company needed a new system with which to manage its products. Although the software itself was corrupt, the data it had created was still in a usable format (Microsoft Access database). 

LincWeb Design was approached by the company's director and asked to develop a system which could be used in the office to maintain the website. We designed this nifty little system which was capable of managing the whole website, including the various packsize options that Boston Seeds offered for its hundreds of products. 

There was no requirement for the system to be placed "online", and so the whole content management system was installed on a local server in the office.
