LoveTweet.meAs part of a larger Valentine's Day release date, LincWeb Design was approached by marketing company Screendrip Digital Marketing to produce a simple Twitter application which allowed a user to enter their Twitter username and calculate their loveability from certain keyword matches in their last 150 Tweets.

The frontend design was put together by the team at Screendrip, and LincWeb was tasked with coding the backend to make the love possible. Using a number of Twitter APIs to make calls and retrieve data from the user's account, the application received great success on Twitter and other scoail networking sites. The user's Tweets were analysed against around 700 positive words (all related to love, naturally) and about the same number of negative keywrods (including 'lonely', 'alone', etc.).

In order to reduce the number of calls needed to the Twitter APIs, once a user had run the calculator, the results were cached in a database and then became easily accessible via a simple permalink.

We were too busy yesterday monitoring the traffic and ensuring the application stayed up for the day to actually blog about the app. So, although it might be a day late - why not calculate your Tweet Love today:
